Walter ADRIANI, since August 2019: Specialty Chief Editor, Frontiers in Behavioral Neuroscience, section Individual & Social Behavior; Associate Editor, Frontiers in Behavioral Neuroscience, section Reward & Motivation; Associate Editor, Frontiers in Neuroscience, section Decision Neuroscience Member of the Editorial Board: Frontiers in Pharmacology, Synapse, Neuroimmunology & Neuroinflammation. 1) Browse the duties as Editorial Board Member of Frontiers in Behavioral Neuroscience. Individual and Social Behaviors publishes significantly innovative findings and major theoretical advances regarding psychobiological bases in the expression of behavior: both perspectives are welcome, from the issue of inter-individual differences to the theme of social and group interactions. This section welcomes work in all animal species, ranging from the most evolved among invertebrates up to mammals, including humans. Key research areas covered by this section include, but are not limited to: • Social recognition and interaction: dominance hierarchies and cultural factors, among others • Environmental enrichment shaping play behavior during neuro-developmental trajectories • Attraction/avoidance behaviors, including empathy • Aggressive behaviors • Microbiome, Neuroimmunity, Epigenetics as determinants of individual and social behaviors • Behavioral flexibility, coping strategies, top-down self-control • Sleep/wake patterns and circadian rhythms, biological clocks • Feeding and other appetitive / consommatory behaviors
2) New! Neuroimmunology and Neuroinflammation is a peer-reviewed online journal with full text available online at http://www.nnjournal.net, where the journal allows free access to all its contents! Articles can be submitted electronically from http://www.journalonweb.com/nn - an online manuscript processing system. Articles in the following areas are especially welcome:
3) Synapse One of the past Editors of "Synapse" is Peter JennerEmeritus Professor of Pharmacology at King’s College in London. He is a specialist in neurological and psychiatric diseases and in particular, the biochemistry and pharmacology of their underlying causes and treatments through the use of in vitro experimentation and in vivo modelling. Peter has a passion for translational research and possesses expertise in the major neurotransmitter networks in brain and the relationship to drug action, drug addiction and to imaging of receptor systems. SYNAPSE publishes articles concerned with all aspects of synaptic structure and function, including neurotransmitters, neuropeptides, neuromodulators, receptors, gap junctions, brain metabolism, plasticity, circuitry, mathematical modeling, ion channels, patch recording, single unit recording, development, behavior, pathology, toxicology, etc. Published by Wiley (go & submit). Science Journals in the field of Mind & Metabolism (by relevance to EMMA's goals): Public Library of Science (PLoS) ONE is open access for all scientific (biological and medical) researchNeuropsychopharmacology aims to advance our understanding of the brain and behaviour. Genes, Brain and Behavior (homepage) NOTES - page charge (GBP50 per page over the 7th page). The European Journal of Neuroscience (go to journal homepage). NeuroImage - a journal on Brain Function, using imaging and modelling techniques to study structure-function relationships in the brain. Published by ELSEVIER (go & submit). The International Journal of Neuropsychopharmacology (IJNP) - for high quality, influential research in basic and clinical domains of neuropsychopharmacology. Neuropharmacology publishes articles within the field of neuroscience, not only about drugs. Its scopes are broad and include, for example, neurotransmitters and their receptors, cognitive functions and behaviour, psychopharmacology, animal models of psychiatric disorders like depression, etc. Published by ELSEVIER (go & submit). Psychopharmacology covers the topic of mechanisms by which drugs affect behavior: it extends from clinical psychopharmacology to effects of drugs on human cognition and behavior, including methodologies from neurochemical assays to functional neuroimaging studies. Published by SPRINGER (go & submit). Current Psychopharmacology publishes peer-reviewed expert review articles, single topic guest edited issues, and high-level original research articles, on outstanding topics of preclinical and clinical psychopharmacology. The journal aims to be the leading forum for expert review articles in the field. Neuroscience ( journal homepage ) - go & submit: http://ees.elsevier.com/nsc/ The Journal of Neuroimmunology affords a forum for works applying any immunologic methodology to all branches of the neurosciences. Published by ELSEVIER (go & submit). The Journal of Neuroimmune Pharmacology (JNIP) interfaces the disciplines of immunology, pharmacology and experimental neuroscience. BMC Neuroscience is an open access source which covers all aspects of the nervous system function, including animal model studies. Behavioral Neuroscience - on the biological bases of behavior (full journal description). Neuroscience Letters - devoted to the rapid publication of short, high-quality papers of interest to the broad community of neuroscientists. Published by ELSEVIER (go & submit). Behavioural Brain Research - dedicated to behavioural neuroscience, broadly defined (go). Not just another journal - a new kind of science publishing: Frontiers in Behavioral Neuroscience Neuropeptides ( journal homepage ) - go & submit: http://www.elsevier.com/wps/ (go) (new) The Open Neuro-psycho-pharmacology Journal (go) World Journal of Neuroscience (WJNS) is published by Scientific Research Publishing (www.scirp.org), an academic publisher of Open Access journals. Your paper will gain a better visibility if it can be published in WJNS. For more information, please visit Author's Guideline.
